Biography

ALEXANDER FERRETTO

He obtained his diploma in solo piano at the Cesare Pollini State Conservatory of Music in Padua in 2005 with top marks. 

In 2008, under the guidance of Maestros Filippo Gamba, Riccardo Zadra and Aldo Orvieto, he obtained his 2nd level academic diploma in Pianoforte with full marks at the same Conservatory.

Subsequently, he specialised with internationally renowned masters such as: Benedetto Lupo, Alberto Miodini, Trio di Parma, Andrea Lucchesini, Lilya Zilberstein, Sergio Perticaroli (Sommeracademie, Mozarteum Salzburg), Andrzej Jasinski (Sommeracademie Mozarteum Salzburg), Konstantin Bogino, Massimiliano Ferrati.

An eclectic artist, his repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music and Jazz.

Since 2008 he has performed in numerous solo and chamber recitals for prestigious international associations in the following venues: Nice (France), Zermatt (Switzerland), Milan, Venice, Stresa, Florence; for the Maaap of Padua he took part in the Summer Review "Sul Fiume, incontri culturali al museo", Review, "Bottega Tartiniana" of Padua, Review Musicatmosfere of Padua, Incontri Musicali at the Liviano (Sala dei Giganti - Padua), at the Wiener Saal Mozarteum (Salzburg), for the review "Le X giornate" ofBrescia, Riviera Festival of Padua, for the International Music Festival Città di Chioggia performing the Quinto Concerto op.73 in E flat major by L. Van Beethoven; in 2013 he was invited to the "Vivace Vilnius Music Festival" (Lithuania).

He also performed at the International Piano Music Festival in Cittadella (Pd) performing L. Van Beethoven's V Concerto Opus 73 in E flat major, gaining wide acclaim from both public and critics.

In 2016 and 2017, he won first and third prizes respectively at the 11th and 12th 'Musica Insieme' international competitions in Musile di Piave (Tv).

In 2018, he performed for the Italian Consulate General in Honkong as concert pianist for the operas "Il segreto di Susanna" by E. Wolf Ferrari and "La serva Padrona" by Giovanni B. Pergolesi and in Macao at the Dom Pedro V Theatre, a Unesco heritage site.

To date, he performs in various groups for chamber music festivals and is involved in an international intercultural project with the singer-songwriter and lecturer of Glottodidactics, Didactics of Intercultural Communication and Literature directed by Dr. Fabio Caon of the University of Venice.

He is a music teacher in secondary school.
